Dr. Romina Alvarez-Troncoso
Dr. Romina Alvarez-Troncoso is a key expert in biology and an international project manager, specialized in biodiversity, water quality, and environmental and limnological projects. For the past 15 years, she has been involved in projects related to the implementation of different policy and laws in the field of nature protection and water quality under the Habitats Directive (1992/42/CEE) and the Water Framework Directive (2000/60/EC).
Her work has spanned several countries including basins in Spain, Poland, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, Tunisia, Jordan, Georgia and Ukraine. Throughout her experience beginning in 2000, she has been an external researcher at the University of Vigo, in the Ecology department under Dr. Professor Josefina Garrido. She has been mainly involved in field research projects, preparation of symposia, writing publications and field works related to biodiversity and water ecology.
