Julia Janicki is a GIS specialist and biologist with an M.S. from UW-Madison studying beetle taxonomy, biodiversity and conservation. She enjoys communicating data through visualizations and maps. In addition to her work at Legal Atlas, she is also employed as a computing technician at the Biodiversity Biocomplexity Unit, Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology. Among her recently completed projects is antmaps.org, a client-server interactive map displaying the ants of the world.
At Legal Atlas, Julia is helping develop map related data acquisition, mapping applications and map content.
